Our History
Established in 2018, Global was created by combining a deeply experienced management team with institutional equity. Our objective is to provide our customers with a reliable container leasing alternative in a consolidating industry. We invest in dry standard, refrigerated, and dry special containers and make them available for lease to end users. Our experience, global network, and access to capital allow us to consistently meet our customers’ needs, including the world’s largest shipping lines.

Jeffrey Gannon
Jeffrey Gannon
Jeffrey Gannon is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Container International LLC and serves on its board of directors. Jeff co-founded the company in 2018 and has more than 30 years of experience in the container leasing and asset finance industries. Prior to starting Global, he was President of Beacon Intermodal Leasing, a company he helped launch and grow into one of the world’s largest container leasing companies. Jeff also spent 10 years at BTMU Capital Corporation, a boutique investment banking subsidiary of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, leading the firm’s leasing and structured financing practice focused on the marine container industry. Mr. Gannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Providence College.
Adrian Dunner
Adrian Dunner
Adrian Dunner is the Chief Operating Officer of Global Container International LLC and serves on its board of directors. Mr. Dunner co-founded the company in 2018 and has more than 30 years of container leasing experience where he has held senior roles in global sales and marketing, operations, secondary sales and procurement. Prior to starting Global, he was a senior executive at Transamerica/TAL International, a company he helped transition and grow into the world’s largest container leasing company. Mr. Dunner earned an MBA from Jacksonville University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Spring Hill College.
Stephen Controulis
Stephen Controulis
Stephen Controulis is the Chief Financial Officer of Global Container International LLC. Steve joined the company in 2021 and has more than 30 years of experience in specialty finance, including more than 20 years in the container leasing industry, where he was Chief Financial Officer of Triton Container International Limited. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer at Solar Mosaic, a specialty solar energy finance company. Mr. Controulis earned an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University.
